TALL SHIPS RACES
Are you adventurous and do you enjoy a challenge? Take the opportunity now to sail along on three-mast schooner the Eendracht!Every summer the Eendracht organizes active sailing voyages especially for youngsters between 15 and 25 years old. During this period the Tall Ships’ Races take place. These are international sailing competitions between large sailing ships coming from places all over the world. Youngsters between the age of 15 and 25, receive 50 % discount on the normal board price.
Together with youngsters from whole Europe you will get to know the world of sailing. Experience is not necessary, because there is a professional crew on board to teach you all the tricks of sailing, navigating and maneuvering. If the top of a mast of a competitor appears on the horizon, all hens on deck are needed! Together with your team you make sure everything will be done to arrive first in the harbor. The Tall Ship Races stand for: new friends, new experiences, trusting yourself, trusting each other, teamwork, adventure, party and action on the wide ocean. But after all: A lot of fun on the voyage of your life!
But the Tall Ship Races include much more than sailing. In every harbor that will be visited the city has become crazy. There are competitions for crew and public, different bands give concerts and during nighttime beautiful fireworks can be watched. And even most of the time the city and its surroundings can be discovered for free! Hundreds of thousand spectators come a long way to be part of this happening. The Tall Ships' Races are subdivided in several legs.
In 2011 Race 1 (the first leg) is planned from Waterford (Ireland) to Greenock (Scotland). This race lasts ten days. Do you hop off in Greenock or do you stay on board and be part of the Cruise In Company crew?
