MULTI-DAY TRIPS
The Eendracht sails on a variety of multi-day trips from The Netherlands and other European countries. Atlantic cross-overs and island hopping in the Caribbean are programmed regularly.Active participation
Everyone who boards the Eendracht for a multi-day trip will be scheduled in a watch system, four hours on, eight hours off. While on watch active participation is expected from everybody. Sailing experience is not required, but all journeys are different. The length, the area of sailing and the amount of participation differ for each journey. Sailing along for the first time? Watch system
Thanks to the watch system the ship can sail day and night. Besides that the necessary activities can be performed at all times. The red, white and blue watch take turns as shown in the schedule below. While on watch, you are part of the crew. Needless to say there is enough time left over to enjoy and relax.
00:00 – 04:00 hours: dog-watch
04:00 – 08:00 hours: day-watch
08:00 – 12:00 hours: early afternoon watch
12:00 – 16:00 hours: late afternoon watch
16:00 – 18:00 hours: first flat-foot watch
18:00 – 20:00 hours: second flat-foot watch
20:00 – 24:00 hours: first watch
